About us....
so what does a garden designer do?

Who we are...
Growing Concern is a personal garden design service run by
Deborah Arrowsmith who has been designing, building, planting and
maintaining gardens for private clients across the country since 1995.
Trained in Fine Art, Design and Horticulture, Deborah gained a wide
range of design, sales and management experience before setting
up Growing Concern.

From water gardens, wildlife and woodland havens to courtyards,
roof gardens and pocket handkerchiefs, whatever the space you have to
call your own Growing Concern will help you create a personal paradise.

So what does a Garden Designer do?
Our role is to listen to clients, to survey the site, observe the conditions,
provide a sounding board for ideas, bring a fresh mind and a new set of
eyes to the problem, suggest alternatives and develop the most creative
solution to achieve a beautiful garden.

We firmly believe gardens should be as individual as their owners and
our role is to bring your character to life in the garden.

We help every step of the way starting from initial ideas and sketches,
choosing landscaping materials, suppliers and reputable contractors.

We design planting schemes and find quality plants and trees, provide
a professional planting service and knowledgeable advice on how to
keep the garden looking good for years to come.
